Dear Members and Friends of Lutheran Church of Our Savior,

This year’s stewardship theme is GRACE CHANGES EVERYTHING. We all live by the Grace of God. We teach our children that all we have is a gift from God: the food on our table, the roof over our heads, the good Christian fellowship we enjoy, and the means to help others. Stewardship is an opportunity to prayerfully review all of the gracious blessings God has given us and to respond by giving generously to Christ’s ministry at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior. Through our Plan for Giving of Time & Talent and Treasure, we support God’s Community in Christ, show compassion to those in need, and provide hope to the world. Our gifts will enable the ongoing ministry of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, ease the suffering of others, and lead them to God’s Word. Jesus calls us to be good stewards of all that we have received – the earth on which we live, our family and friends, and all those who are in need by offering our Time & Talent, and our Treasure to support and extend Christ’s ministry.

This fall we will renew our baptismal and confirmation promises by making a Plan for Giving of our Time & Talent, as well as our Treasure. This envelope contains: 1) a brochure entitled “What is a Plan for Giving?”,as well as a 2023 financial “Plan for Giving” card, and a “Time & Talent” folder for each adult confirmed member. Please complete the enclosed Plan for Giving of your Time & Talent folder and your family financial Plan for Giving.

As you consider your giving plan for 2023, please consider the scriptures that call us to return the first portionof all we received to God of what we receive. What percentage is that? Some of our members strive to give 10% of their Time, Talent, and Treasure for the ministry of the church. Are you able to increase the percentage you return to God in 2023 by 1% of your time, talent, and/or income? If you do not tithe already, we urge you to consider give a larger percentage (1%) of what you have received from God as you move toward a full tithe of 10%. You may make your offerings weekly, monthly, or annually by placing cash or a check in the Sunday offering, arrange with your bank to mail a check from your checking account (no fee) to LCOS, arrange an electronic transfer to LCOS through Vanco (small fee), or donate online through the LCOS web site.

After praying for God’s guidance, please:

  • complete the Time & Talent folder(s),
  • complete the enclosed financial Plan for Giving card,
  • seal the Time & Talent folder(s) and the financial Plan for Giving card in an envelope marked “Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Att. Financial Secretary”, and place it in the offering plate, or if you prefer,
  • you may add postage to the return envelope and mail your 2023 Plan for Giving to the church office.

We are praying for giving plans from 100% of the members of congregation this year.

May the Lord bless and keep you in God’s Grace, which changes everything!

Yours in Christ Jesus,
